S3 Update

I appreciate the answers to my previous question about the S3. I shot a roll of film with the camera. Although, it is a very nice camera, I don't see it being a practical tool for my work. I would use it from time to time and probably not for any serious shooting (yet one never knows). I am now working with a Pentax 67 that has seen better days. No backup body (besides a 4x5) means working assignments under that cloud of stress. My aim in the near future is to work in the editorial field, while continuing to make art. For me to work in the way that I do, I will need to make a bit of an investment in gear. Well, this is the opportunity for me to step into a new system with minimal investment (or credit card debt). I am currently researching the possibility of 'trading up' to the Mamiya 7II. In the meantime, here are a few frames from the first roll through this classic beauty. Keep the input a-coming.

Today Is A Good Day

During the last couple of hours of work today, a gentleman came in and sold the store a Nikon S3 at an unbelievable price. I snagged it immediately! This is a beauty of a camera. I have always wanted a Nikon S series rangefinder. I'd give this one a rating of 8+. It is an early model with cloth shutters and it sounds wonderful. The shutters speeds are dead on to the ear. The 5cm f1.4 lens is also in excellent condition. Check out that serial number! The question is: Do I use it? Or do I trade it for another rangefinder?
