There is an awkward yet elegant characteristic about the roots, as though (the fingers of a woman aged into the winter of her life) stretching out to the water in search of youth and she drinks it into her soul... The softness in texture of the water is a welcome balance against the contrast of the texture in the roots... love the composition... love the subtle tonal range and values in this image... very well done Mr. Gust ;)
