A while back Justin James Reed posted about his initial shock to the frequency of fires in Philadelphia after just moving to the city. Here in Idaho, there are many, many wildfires each year that cleanse thousand of acres of land while threatening many homes and other footprints made by man. Although devastating, the haze and smoke that move in from fires burning many miles away can make for some dramatic light and ominous landscapes.
