O.K. I'm back to work now, and, more than ever, I am feeling this urge
to do something greater than the 9-5. The local market for my
photography is not one to earn a living in. Still, I persist. I do so
out of love for the process, the feeling and the result that comes from
interacting with the people and places that are portrayed in my art. I
know most of who read this blog feel the same way. So, to the web I go
for inspiration, advice, even friendships to aid in improving my
artwork and myself.

This brings me to the point of this post. I'd like to extend a long-overdue thank you to Mr. Justin James Reed. His friendship has been invaluable and he has inspired my work and my life in ways that I cannot express. Hats off to you Mr. Reed and thank you.

P.S. Fair weather is upon us and I am feeling an emptiness that you, whiskey, music and ping pong once filled.

Your work is taking on a more thoughtful tone, Shawn - I think you're connecting with some aspect of your true calling.

Being close to birth or death often draw us closer to the real essence of who we are & how we want to define ourselves.

Your going to make me cry Shawntose. I promise I'll be out soon to engage in Whiskey fueled Ping Pong. Keep it up, I know you can accomplish whatever you put your heart to. You're already on your way even if you don't know exactly where you are going. Talk to you soon.
